Leinster’s World Cup stars are back… which could mean trouble for Scarlets

Sam Prendergast will make his first start at the RDS for Leinster

Pray for the Scarlets. Fourteenth in the United Rugby Championship with one win from four, their worst fears were confirmed at noon on Friday when Leo Cullen picked his team for Saturday night’s clash at the RDS and included 10 of Ireland’s World Cup squad in his starting XV with Tadhg Furlong and Ross Byrne on the bench for good measure.

In the middle of it all is Sam Prendergast, the prodigious out-half who makes his first RDS start and his first outing alongside the province’s big hitters.
