The case of a former Derry GAA star and his wife who are facing assault charges has been adjourned.

Today, the case of Niall and Kerri Bradley, who live together on Kilrea Road, Portglenone, Co Antrim, appeared before a district judge at Magherafelt Magistrates Court.

The married defendants, both aged 37, are accused of assaulting another couple in Queen Street in the town on October 1.

Niall Bradley is charged with common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and disorderly behaviour.

Kerri Bradley is charged with two counts of common assault and disorderly behaviour.

The Public Prosecution Service (PPS) asked for the case to be adjourned to February 14 to fix a date.

The pair, who have two children, were, until earlier this year, part of a joint management team of the Derry GAA Minor camogie team. They are well-known and highly respected within Derry GAA circles.

Kerri Bradley is the director of human resources at a major Belfast legal firm.

Niall Bradley played senior football for Derry a decade ago, but his club career at Greenlough GAC was cut short in 2021 after a horrendous injury.

They hit the headlines a few years ago after Kerri Bradley lambasted the Derry county board for failing to treat her husband properly after he suffered a serious knee injury. She is criticised Derry GAA and their treatment of Niall in the aftermath of the injury he received while playing football for his club in May 2021.
