Cliftonville manager Jim Magilton hailed the ‘magic’ in the boots of Ronan Hale which created history for the Reds as they won their first Irish Cup in 45 years.

In a dramatic Final in front of a sell-out crowd at Windsor Park, striker Hale netted twice in extra-time to earn a memorable 3-1 victory over Linfield which led to Magilton describing it as “as great a victory as I’ve ever had in my football life”.
