Jim Donegan murder: In a high stakes case, missing key opportunities really is a matter of life and death
Jim ‘JD’ Donegan’s murder was the first in a spate of killings of men, all originally from west Belfast, targeted by a republican vigilante gang.
His murder was a gangland-style execution. The gunman made his way calmly to the scene on foot and after shooting his target multiple times jogged away into a nearby housing estate where he disappeared from public view.
