Man awaiting sentence for Belfast Maxol garage armed robbery refused compassionate bail

A 27-year-old man awaiting sentence on a charge of robbing a Maxol garage in the presence of schoolchildren whilst armed with a machete was refused compassionate bail today.
The application to release Shane Paul Duffy on bail to allow him to visit his mother's grave on her birthday was made, and refused, at Belfast Crown Court.
