That's us done for the day

The roads have re-opened on the north coast and the racing is done. Glenn Irwin, Richard Cooper and Davey Todd are our winners tonight but what does Saturday hold at the North West 200?

Make sure you join us then to find out! Goodnight!

Davey Todd, Superstock winner

"I wasn't sure if I was going to race. Obviously I'm a little sore after that crash in the Supersport race. I don't come here to sit on the sidelines, I said I'd give it a go. I didn't know what was going to happen but I raced as hard as I could. We were unlucky in the previous race but this means a lot.

"I'm sitting by the side of the track and I'm hurting a lot, and you start thinking can I finish the week? I'm happy I still am. I'm glad we've got a day off, I'm going to be sore tomorrow. I didn't think I'd be sitting on a bike again (this weekend). I'm so happy where I'm at right now and hopefully we can keep this going.

"I've never classed myself as a Superstock rider but it's nice to get a big bike win."

DAVEY TODD WINS!

No dramas from the Englishman, he's a comfortable winner in the Superstock class.

Dean Harrison holds on for second place, which he did deserve for a solid race and Michael Dunlop is third.

Game over!

Dean Harrison tries to push the matter going down the straight into Portrush and over-shoots the chicane, which means Davey Todd is going to win this at a canter barring a remarkable mistake from the Englishman!

Lap 3 (of 4)

1. Davey Todd
2. Dean Harrison +1.010
3. Michael Dunlop +6.192

Still as you were with one lap to go, can Harrison close the gap enough to try something in the final lap? It feels like the gap is too big as Todd smashes the lap record with a 4:19.457, but could Harrison find that extra per cent and make this interesting?

Lap 2 (of 4)

1. Davey Todd
2. Dean Harrison +0.651
3. Michael Dunlop +5.037

It looked like Todd might be stretching away on that lap but Harrison has kept time with him and is still within reach of trying something. Meanwhile, Dunlop has stretched away from Hillier after overtaking him and is now firmly in the driving seat to finish third.

Lap 1 (of 4)

1. Davey Todd
2. Dean Harrison
3. Daniel Hillier

Harrison is hungry for a win this weekend and so far he is keeping pace with Todd, who looks solid at the front, but he's going to need to be squeaky clean to keep Harrison behind him. A fun battle brewing in the background between Hillier and Michael Dunlop, too.

Hickman gone

He runs through the first roundabout in Portstewart and then does likewise at the Magic Roundabout, so seems like a brake problem for him. He had been third initially but now might be out.

Todd leads!

Back on the grid and in the lead into the York hairpin - which goes back without incident - and Davey Todd is the leader!

LIGHTS OUT!

We are under way for the final race of the night, the Superstocks are on the circuit!

Superstocks away

The sighting lap has begun and I am delighted to say that Davey Todd is indeed racing!

Promising news

Davey Todd and Adam McLean's bikes are on the grid, so there is a chance they will be participating in our final race of the night. They themselves have not emerged yet, though, so it's not guaranteed they are going to take part.

The big question

We're already preparing for our final race of the night as the Superstocks are being wheeled onto the grid, but the biggest questions surrounds whether Davey Todd and Adam McLean will be good to go for the race. We wait to see.

Richard Cooper, Supersport winner

Race thoughts: "My poor start put me in a position to watch it all unold. I saw Adam McLean go in hot and he wiped out Davey. We have to take the luck when it comes our way. We rode a good race there. Didn't realise I was that far ahead but kept consistent on my lap times and I have more in the tank if I need it on Saturday."

Winning his first Supersport race: "I'm made for the Supertwins stature-wise, but Supersport is one I've wanted for a while. Very happy."

Thinking ahead to Saturday: "Hopefully Davey's okay, he took quite a heavy impact. We all want to win with a battle that goes to the line but we have to take the wins when they come. It's in the history books now."

RICHARD COOPER WINS!

He may have profited from an incredible start to the race that saw several of his closest challengers taken out at the opening corner, but Richard Cooper has a professional race to claim the win.

Peter Hickman overtook Michael Dunlop on the final lap to claim second, with the Ballymoney man finishing third.
Adam McKendry
Lap 3 (of 4)

1. Richard Cooper
2. Michael Dunlop +5.393
3. Peter Hickman +5.565

One lap to go and it feels like this is over as Cooper extends his lead again, but the race for second place is an absolutely thrilling one between Dunlop and Hickman. That's where the focus will be.
Adam McKendry
Lap 2 (of 4)

1. Richard Cooper
2. Michael Dunlop +3.087
3. Peter Hickman +4.251

To say that much is happening in this race would be a bit of a lie, to the extent that the live coverage has switched away from the leaders as Cooper extends his lead. This is a procession thus far.
Adam McKendry
Lap 1 (of 4)

1. Richard Cooper
2. Michael Dunlop +1.200
3. Peter Hickman +1.653

After all that early drama, the rest of the lap goes by without incident and Cooper. This could be a fairly boring race compared to our opener as it seems the Englishman has a bit of a buffer, although Dunlop is definitely closing the gap...
