Straight after Donegal’s Jamie Brennan had rammed in a fourth goal in Celtic Park on Saturday night, goalkeeper Odhrán Lynch joined the next Derry attack, bringing it to an end when his speculative delivery into the danger zone was easily cut out by an opposition defender.
That Lynch ventured back up again so far after all that had gone before was testament to the slavish devotion to systems at inter-county level.
