Recent history hasn’t been kind to Antrim’s Gaelic football team, and they would be used to enduring short summers and long winters as their Championship hopes are often dashed early in the campaign.

However, last summer was a little longer than normal, even with the split-season, because the Saffrons fought their way to the Tailteann Cup Semi-Final, losing to the eventual winners Meath in a very competitive game.
